Because these are so frequently asked, I am not going to type out each question, because I am pretty sure you will know what it was when you read the answer.
Also, I am feeling a little “virtual-link” happy today. I just think it’s fun that I finally figured it out, so feel free to just travel wherever you want to. Okay, here we go!
· The song that plays when you click onto the blog is by David Crowder, and it was released (best I can tell) on an early CD that is no longer available. I have no idea why, and Todd and I actually stood in a long line to try and talk to him about it at the Dove Awards (the week after Audrey was born), and when I got about 2 people away, I started sweating profusely and decided I was too nervous to talk to him, so we ducked out of line. I know, I’m a total dufus. It’s just that I love his music and I was, well, a little emotional. I am still kicking myself, and if I get the chance, I will tell him how much his music has meant to me, and I will be sure to wear a stronger deodorant.
· I read the NIV version. I am kind of a Bible junkie, so I own one in just about every version, but NIV is my favorite.
· I am Protestant…I am a member of Grace Community Church, and our Pastor Scott Patty is amazing. He’s the kind of Pastor who makes you believe in the power of the Gospel with his words and his life. He is also the kind of Pastor that calls your house several times a week when you are in crisis and makes you feel like you are the only person in his congregation. We are SO blessed to have found our Church home…we have attended Grace for about 3 years.
· Between 100,000 and 150,000 people/hits (to use my cool new blogger lingo...here's another one I recently learned..."delurk." I like that.) per week. And yes, I think it’s crazy :)
· I’m not sure if we are going to have more children…we will see what God says when the time comes. Currently, I am not allowed to get pregnant because of my c-section…I will have to wait until next Fall to be healed enough to try. If God gives me a peace about that being His will, then absolutely, yes, we would love another (or another 10! Whatever!)
· I weigh 100 pounds. OK, nobody asked that and it isn’t even true, but it’s my blog and I’m really skinny on it.
· My favorite Bible teachers are Beth Moore and Priscilla Shirer. If I met either one of them, I would probably pee on myself. That was not the holiest way I could have phrased that… but I’m pretty sure they will both have special chairs very near to Jesus in heaven. One time, Todd had an event with Beth (I didn’t meet her face to face…did you read the part about David Crowder????). I just flat-out think she’s amazing. My favorite Bible Studies of hers are probably Breaking Free and The Patriarchs. Todd also did an event with Priscilla (I'm not on a first name basis with either one of these ladies, but again, it's my blog). He called me and said, “Ang, someone wants to talk to you” and handed her the phone. She told me who it was and I giggled and tried (unsuccessfully) to form sentences in my native language. Last week her brother Anthony Evans (he is a singer and knows Todd from music stuff) asked us to come out and ride his horses with him (umm, yeah, I’m serious. I have pictures to prove it). It was a blast and I did my best to play it cool about the whole “you’re related to Priscilla thing.” In case you don’t know his dad is Tony Evans, the preacher. That poor family needs to figure out how to serve the Lord with their gifts a little better…:)
· My favorite song (today) is Tears of the Saints by Leeland. If I could figure out how to post it legally here, I would. It is amazing. My other favorite is “Your Name” by Anthony Evans. Ellie asked me to roll the windows down at a stoplight the other day because she thought the guy next to us needed “to hear about Jesus.” I agreed. There is at least a small chance I saw him on “America’s Most Wanted” at some point. You know the vibe…
· I love Beth Moore. I think I already said that. It’s worth repeating. Did I tell you about the special chair? I’m sure it’s in the Bible.
· My favorite Book in the Bible (today) is James.
· The plaque that was on my mantle in the “Crosspoint Video” was sent to me by a woman named Kaye. Her website is www.engravedeuniques.com. She was a complete stranger who took the time to send us several pieces of her tile art, which we treasure (and she isn’t really a stranger anymore!)
· Sawyer is doing great! You won’t believe how big he has gotten….here’s a recent photo. Isn't he gorgeous? He is such a sweet pup.
· I stay close to God by spending time in His Word. It looks small on paper, I know, but that’s the only way you can consistently walk with Him. When I’m not reading my Bible faithfully (yes, it happens!!!), I feel like the distance creeps up. It’s not boring!!! I promise!!! I hope to keep encouraging you to find this out for yourselves…
TTThose are Abby's feet in the "jumping in the rain" picture on the sidebar. The photo is a few years old. Here are a few more from that day so you can see how much they have grown...
· I do want to share more photos of Audrey! I am waiting on the photographer to get them to me (he is moving his studio and I know it’s crazy for him). I am excited to post them as soon as I can! Hopefully it will be soon.
· Yes, I would love to sell your purses (and other items) on E-bay and give the money to charity! I am so excited that people want to do this…I need to figure out how it all works…any ideas?
· I do read all of my email, even if I don’t respond. I am a few (hundred…yikes…) behind right now, but I love reading them. I just don’t want to rush through, so I have to find pockets of time to really be present with whoever has written. Please don’t stop writing! I love hearing from you, just trying to balance my time right now.
· “I Will Carry You” will be released on a Selah CD next Spring.
· I have a little area of my house devoted to Beth Moore. Okay, that’s a lie too, but if it wasn’t idol worship, I probably would. At least a little candle or something? framed pictures? A life-sized cardboard cutout? Such a delicate balance between admiration and a restraining order…
· The name of the children’s Bible that I love is “The Jesus Storybook Bible.”
Phew. OK, what am I missing?
I will leave you with a verse that God has brought to me many times in the last few days, and it has brought me great peace. I hope it does the same for you.
“The Lord your God is with you,
He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with his love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17
May your home be blessed tonight with the sound of His sweet singing, and may He quiet you with His great, unfailing love…
Angie

Welcome new readers! To catch up on Audrey's story,
I made up the term "Sundays" to refer to my faithful readers, and those who have chosen to enter into our lives as we have journeyed the last year. You have become family to us, and whenever I need prayer requests, or want to pass along information, I just say "Hey Sundays!" and you know I'm talking to you:) BUT the most important part of being a Sunday is that it goes both ways. This is not a group of people who follow "Angie Smith," but rather a group of people who follow Jesus Christ and seek to be in a loving, life-giving community where we as believers seek to lift each other up as we strive to serve our Lord better and more deeply. It's not about me; it's about Him. Feel free to send me your prayer requests as well. I pray for every single one, and even if I am unable to write back to you, I am with you in spirit, walking humbly alongside you as we seek to love Christ more and more everyday.

I love receiving letters from blog readers like you. Please feel free to email me at angelac519@gmail.com. Though I am unable to respond to every email, I read them all. Many thanks for reaching out.

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 290 Newer› Newest»Thanks for sharing! You are truly wonderful.
You are precious! Thanks for sharing so much to so many.
I can't believe I'm commenting this early-- I never get to your latest posting before 150 or more other bloggers! I feel so special-- not Beth Moore special, but super cool. Anyway, I followed all of the questions but one. What question was asked to make you respond 100,000-150,000?
Thanks for all of your posts. You are amazing.
Holly
Gadsden, AL
I love getting to know you better. :-) Thanks for answering all the questions.
150 000? My goodness! And I thought my blog was starting to get some traffic!
I love that verse from Zephaniah by the way, and the verse just before the one you quoted. It is one of the verses in the Bible that I count as God's special word to me. :-)
Wow! What a great chance to get to know you even better still. Thanks for sharing so much of yourself! See? I've stopped lurking once more.
Angie,
I love reading your posts, and really appreciate the way you talk about Jesus. As someone who struggles with feeling distant from Him, you minister to me in a profound way. I can't remember if you already talked about this, but do you have any suggestions for where to start if you haven't picked up a Bible in a while?
You are such a cool person, and incredibly funny! Aren't we all 100 pounds? I'd like to think so :)
Thanks for loving all of us.
That was really great to read. I have not left you a comment ever but have been praying for you and Todd and the rest of your family over these last months. And while I know the pain that I have dealt with this year in my own life is very different from your own, I still feel a bond with with you even though we have never even met. I feel like that if we ever had then chance to sit down and have a chat that we would not lack for things to talk about.
All of the things that you have shared have touched me in some way or another. But I did want to tell you that your post about smashing the pitcher and putting it back together again was really the most touching to me probably because of the trials I have gone through this year in my marriage. I feel like, when I see that picture of your pitcher that is what my marriage looks like now that God has restored my marriage to what He wants it to be.
Thank you for sharing your story.
Stacy
You inspire so many of us moms Angie. There are several of us here in Jackson that follow your story but more importantly your walk with Jesus. We want to come to church at Grace bc I listen to his sermons and LOVE what he says.
May God continue to be the thrill of your heart. He is shining beautifully through you.
Always in my prayers~

I adore that verse! I have it on the header of my blog. I love the fact that God takes great delight in me. Makes me feel so good! :)
Thank you so much for sharing your story and your life. I have been fascinated by it lately and God has been speaking to me through your words. Thank you for being so open, in the good times, and the bad. I can only hope that what we share with those we love can have some part of impact to their world, as yours does to mine. May God continue to hold you and your family up, and bless you all!!
Sincerely
Talley MacIntosh
I adore your writing style. It is like we are sitting there talking. And a lot of your phrases sound so similar to the way I talk. :)
I feel the same way about Beth Moore. I attended an event with her when I was going through treatments for infertility trying to conceive my daughter and she ministered to me in a way that totally brought me to my knees. She is such a rock star. I can't tell you what your blog means to me and how much I pray for you and your family. What a mighty work he is doing in and through your life.
Blessings,
Rae

1) Breaking Free rocked my lil' world
2)LOVE the Jesus Storybook Bible
3)hmm, I think I want to weigh 100 on my blog, shoot, I'd settle for 130 even.
thanks for sharing!
Angie,
I recently found your blog and am encouraged by your honesty, humor, and deep faith as you travel through the highs and lows of this life.
May the Lord shower His blessings upon you as you reach out and share your heart with so many!!
Also, we have the "Jesus Storybook Bible" for our two toddlers and LOVE it!!
In Christ,
Jamie

Girl, you are just too cute. And sweet. :) And so genuine. That is why you are such a 'hit'.
I feel certain, when the chance comes back around, Beth Moore will feel especially honored to have the privilege of meeting YOU.
Isn't it silly the way we get so star-struck? Ravi Zacharias happened into my workplace several months ago and I just completely froze!! Funny thing was, just that morning, I was thinking as I listened to his program "Gosh, I wish I could just spend like 5 min's with him! I'd have a question or two for him!" :) However, when opportunity presented itself, it was more like, "Uhhhh.... Do you know who you are?!?" :)
Keep up the great blog, sister!
Wow your twins looks just like their Daddy!
Thanks for taking the time to answer questions! It's so awesome!!! I'm hoping to see David Crowder and Mercy Me this month (PLEASE JESUS?!). My husband needs to get under a label and start touring with these guys!!! And your guy!
Oh and Hillsong made an awesome song from that verse called, "Mighty to Save" and it makes me just want to rock out to Jesus!!!
My husband thinks I am crazy for sitting here giggling as I read your entry! Hehe...there are worse things than crazy, right?
Love, love, love, love, love that Beth Moore gal!!! :) The first Beth study I did was Believing God...life changing stuff. It's been a few years, and I am ready to tackle it again!
Thank you for sharing yourself...you are blessing your readers so richly.
Thank you so much for sharing your amazing story with "us". You are such a blessing to me & my faith. I love to read about your wonderful family and all the grace you have shown in the past few months. You are a wonderful example of what a wonderful Christian woman is. I've been reading for the past few months and have wanted to tell you what a fantastic example you are to us, but I just had to today. Have a great 4th of July.
First of all, you made me laugh out loud a few times with this post. Sounds like you are getting back to your funny self again! Reminds me of some of your earlier posts. You are so funny, Ang!
I LOVE the verse you posted. I should print it and keep in on my bathroom mirror to remind me "He will quiet (me) with His love." He hears my prayers. He dries my tears. He is there for me when I feel no one else can help.
I feel so comforted this week, and I know it is from the massive number of prayers I've received. I am so grateful for all of the people who have just "met" me and are praying so diligently for my healing.
Hope to see you soon,
Adrienne
PS LOVE the pictures of the girls and Sawyer! I was thinking about him the other day, wondering how much he'd changed! He is gorgeous, just like the rest of you Smiths! :)
Very interesting! I got all of it except for the 100,000-150,000 part. I have been wanting to do a study by Beth Moore, but haven't picked one up yet. I will have to try one of your recommended favorites. I just usually get so fascinated with Bible Studies that it takes my personal time away in the Word, but I really want to pick one up anyways!
Oh, and I saw that someone asked about where to start if you haven't picked up a Bible in a while. I always love reading the New Testament, starting from Matthew, on and of course, the book of James (your current fave) is awesome!
I just want to let you know how much your "Life Stories" have touched mine. Thank you for sharing, you are truly a Blessing from God! Praying for you and your family...
Thanks for the fun-fact post... That's a serious amount of blog traffic! Imagine how many of those people must pray for you every day; overwhelming! Just posted this in the comments of your last entry, but am just thinking of you and hope you have a wonderful time with Sara this weekend... Happy 4th to you and your family!
1. I love Beth too. I hope you read her blog. http://livingproofministries.blogspot.com/ She's so down to earth and "human"... I just feel like I could curl up in a chair in her living room and talk for hours. Of course, that probably would earn me a restraining order as well. And I'd be too shy to actually do it. But a lifesize cardboard cutout would be pretty funny to have! And if you ever get a chance to meet her in person, DO IT! I have a friend who met her and she said that she is just as warm and genuine in person... even though she has thousands of people clamoring for her attention, you feel like there is no where else she would rather be than talking to you.
2. The music seems to have disappeared since you changed to your new layout. I love the layout, but I miss your music. You have so many great songs (and I "borrowed" a few of them for my own playlist).
3. I also love "The Jesus Storybook Bible". I read it for myself when I first bought it (I "technically" bought it to use in my preschool Sunday school class). I love that every story points back to God's love for His People and the story of Redemption. "Every Story Whispers His Name" :)
Vicky
Great post! Thanks for sharing with us! (I think I say that everytime I comment!...I just appreciate your sweet openness and love of our Lord and your posts always make me think and feel good about my life and Christian walk)
Angie,
I will email you a link to a site that you can find the Leeland song on and post it on your site.
I will put Tears of the Saints in the subject line... hope you get it.
Angie
Angie---
Thanks for sharing that verse! I needed it in a big way. We lost a baby this year and it's due date is tomorrow...needing God's comfort and singing voice in a big way. Those words blessed my heart in a million ways...I will be listening for Him.
Thank you so much for sharing Angie! You are such a wonderful person and I am so thankful that I am able to get to know you a little better with each post! I'm praying for you!
Thanks for sharing with us. It feels like we are just curled up in chairs chatting away like women were born to do! Thank you for being so open about your life.
I love Beth Moore, too! I totally agree with your response if you actually met her--I think I would do the same thing!
Your girls (and Sawyer) are beautiful! They have all grown lately!
God bless you tonight and give you restful sleep. If your girls are anything like my kids, they will be up bright and early!
Christy
Dear Angie, I am a faithful reader, but have never posted before. I wanted to tell you that Zephaniah 3:17 is my life verse and very special to me. Someday I will tell you my story, but today has not been a good one and I am not sure my heart is where it should be. I pray for you and yours and honor you for reaching out to people with your gifts of time & talent. There is enough hurting and pain to go around! May the Lord Bless you & yours today! Cheryl Dreyer. (if you choose to read my blog at all, be sure to go back to Uganda memoirs. This was life changing. I am a nurse asnd have been looking at your inlaws ministries for a huge amount of medical/surgical supplies thst I have my hands on..I'll be in touch.
Angie, you're the coolest! Love your blog!

I just wanted to say that you are an inspiration. You have blessed me in so many way with your blog and story. I have emailed you once in the past and plan to do so more in the future. Here is a link to my blog if you would like to check it out. It is not as well written as your but I use it as a kind of threapy.
http://whentheylaugh.blogspot.com/
I think that the way you talk about Christ is amazing and has put the hunger in me to have a closer walk. Thank you again for all your inspireing thoughts and funny stories.
Angie, Do you wanna know something? I think you're awesome! I love seeing your name in bold on my bloglines. I usually save your blog for last because it consistently blesses my heart. You made me laugh out loud with your Beth Moore comments tonight. She is pretty great, huh?!! I've been wanting to go to the Deeper Still conference in Las Vegas this September. Right now the flights are out of my price range though. Anyway, thanks for answering all the questions. I love getting to know you better. You're a doll!
This one really cracked me up.
Is there any way you could put the video of "Audrey's song" on the main page? I want to see it again but don't have time to go back and try to find it...
This whole psalm is so good for all who are overwhelmed. Continuing to pray!
Psalms 102:1-2 ((A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out his complaint before the LORD.)) Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee. Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
I love reading your blog. I love it. It's...soul touching...is that a real phrase? Well, this is my comment and I want it to be :-).
I found your blog a couple months ago and have kept up since then. When I read it...I laugh, I cry, I love, & I feel my faith grow. Thank you so much for sharing your heart with pretty much all the moms in America...at least the ones that count. :-)
biggest blessings,
Katy
Angie,
It is such a joy reading about your journey with the Lord! Thanks for sharing the details of your life.
May the Lord bless you beyond your highest expectations! Ephesians 3:20
Love,
Amy
Angie, you're the best!!
First of all, you are too funny! I also, love Beth Moore--we may have to fight over who will sit next to her in Heaven. Im pretty sure you would win since I only weigh 99LBS and you weigh 100! Ha, Ha! Oh, this isnt my blog--but I still said it. Thanks for the post. Good to know!
I seriously laughed out loud reading some of this. I love your sense of humor! :) Oh and, I love Beth Moore too!
Thanks for taking the time to do this. I love your heart, love reading your thoughts...funny or serious you have a way of touching us all. :)
Thanks for sharing, I cracked up reading this. Now You got to get over that fear of meeting people, cause we want to all stand in line to meet you at your first book signing. :)
And I share your Love for Beth Moore. I saw her in Jacksonville last year, And I would not have been more star stuck even if Julie Roberts walked in the room.
Oh, Angie: I LOVE your honest style, RE: ...you'd probably "pee" on yourself. I love it when Christians are REAL!
Still reading your blog all the time and loving it.
Happy 4th of July to you and your beautiful family.
As always, it's always uplifting to visit with you each day~
I am "de-lurking" to just share how much I love reading your words. And to just agree with you about the verse you shared at the end of your post. My best friend gave that verse to me several years ago and I still cling to those beautiful words today.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Blessings.
You are such a mix of completely devout and utterly hilarious. You are a joy to read and I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon your blog.
Love and prayers to you!
I was just recomended Breaking Free and plan to start the study soon. I hope it helps me...
The Jesus Storybook Bible is part of our bedtime routine with my 5 month old! A gift from his God parents.
I can't believe how big Sawyer has gotten! Such a handsome little guy.
As always, thanks for sharing.
Blessings!
I got the privelage of going to Tony Evans church once. It was on father's day in 1998 and he preached on the prodigal son. It was pretty much amazing.
I love Beth Moore too. She loves Jesus and Starbucks! She's my kinda gal.
Thank you for all of that information. You crack me up. Your blog is so very special to me!
Angie:
Thank you for being so open, so honest, so transparent, and so REAL!!! I really love your blog!
My heart swells with joy to see how God has blessed the Evans family over the last 20 years. A true anoiting is on this family.
Prayers continue to go up for you and yours.
I'm just a senior citizen who hapened up on your blog. You amaze me with your sweet faith and wonderful way with words.
You mentioned the possibility of having another baby. Have you ever felt any leading to adoption? Our son and his wife are in that process right now. They are working through an agency in Dallas called "Buckner". They walked a long road of not being able to get pregnant before the Lord led them here. Their---soon to be little girl----will come from Ethiopia----this is a transracial adoption with caucasian parents and african baby. Her country doesn't care for much communication about pending adoptions, so I can't tell you anything about her story or print a picture, but trust me----she is our gift from God and perfectly beautiful. This has been a sometimes frustrating and terribly heartbreaking journey to get to her, but also so sweet. I could never have imagined you could love a child so far away and unseen, so much. Just presenting a little food for thought and prayer.
Mary Carol McDurham
Russellville, Ky.
Fun to learn more about you :) So wonderful and sweet :)
All That I Can Say may actually have been written by Robbie Seay. I am almost sure it's on a couple of his albums, you may also want to check some of the first Passion CD's. As well, you can look at anything University Baptist Church (UBC, Waco, TX) released in the late 90's. I can promise you if you find Robbie's first album you will not regret buying it!
I always enjoy your reading your blog and feel blessed and encouraged, even when there are tough times.
The past two blogs, however, have had me howling (not kidding, just ask my friends) with laughter!
Girl, you have a gift for words and even better, a personality to boot! If this keeps up, the rest of us are going to be considering life-size Angie cardboard cutouts and sweating profusely in line to meet you at your book signings! :)
Have a great holiday weekend with your precious family!!
jill
You are just fabulous! That is all for now.
I think it's sooo amazing that God uses your blog to reach out to people.....100,000! That's just amazing! God truly works.
Some day I'd love to hear Kate's birth story. I hope you had an easier time with her than the twins.
Hi Angie,
I love your playlist. On more than one occasion I have it up on my screen behind whatever I'm working on so can just listen. The David Crowder Band song that you just talked about....really hit me hard about a week ago. You can read about it here if you would like:
http://my2gs.blogspot.com/2008/06/time-greatest-gift.html
~ Lacie
Angie,
Even though I do not know you, I LOVE to read your writing! I am also a huge Beth Moore fan (doing the AMAZING Psalms of Ascent study right now) and David Crowder! Your posts make me feel like I know you!
i needed that verse today. thank you for sharing angie. have a super blessed day!
How super fun this post was. :) Thanks for sharing. I'm sure your life is a busy one. The fact that you take time out to answer questions and post is relly sweet. :) You have a really big extended family in blogland... :)
Thank you!
I love you Angie! (I mean that in the best sister-in-Christ sense - still probably weird though since we've never met face-to-face). God has given you such a strong presence through your writing and it's easy to connect with what you are saying.
I totally get you on the Beth Moore thing - I'm going though her "Believing God" study now with women and girls from our church. It's amazing how God has used her.
Have you ever checked out Kenzie Stanfield's blog? She just posted that she and 8 other moms went to a Deeper Still conference and met Beth and her pray over them. I read that just before reading your blog.
Continued joy in Christ,
Andrea
A beautiful verse - thank you for sharing it. :)
-CG
I laughed out loud when I read the part where Ellie asked you to roll the windows down because the guy at the stoplight need to hear about Jesus! That is too sweet!
I love Beth Moore too!
Can I just say that that particular David Crowder CD is one of my all time faves. I absolutley LOVE his music, but my good gracious, that CD does some major speaking to the soul!!!!!
And I am totally feeling you on the whole Beth Moore thing too. She brings it to life like no other. I am so with ya on the shrine thing - probably not a good idea, but ya know ...
Of course there IS a Starbucks not far from my house and that may count as a shrine since everytime I pass I think of her and I frequent it quite often on the off chance that she is in this tiny town in Michigan and having a Starbucks need.
I can dream can't I?
Angie,
Thank you for sharing the way you do. I had an early miscarriage this week and have thought of you and your strength so many times.
In the 1st 5 minutes I learned I was pregnant I already loved that baby as much as I love my 2 sons. It's so hard to understand why, but so much easier to get through knowing that our God loves us and is holding us in his arms.
The verse you directed us to was perfect for me today.
God Bless ~
Jenny Maddox

Thank you so much for your openness Angie, so many of the questions you answers were questions that I had but was afraid to ask.
Not because I find you unapproachable (nothing could be further from the truth), I just knew that I'm sure there was others who had asked the very same questions already and sometime I would get my answers.
That children's bible looks beautiful, I think I may buy a copy. I don't have kids and won't have anytime soon (I'm single and still in school) but I think it would be something nice to have.
You really made me giggle today, thank you my friend.
P.S. I especially love that you are such a fangirl over people who inspire you, I'm exactly the same.
P.P.S. When I started reading I missed the word 'update' and I was thinking it was really odd that Kate was napping at 11pm and the girl were off playing!
Colette xxx
Thanks for sharing!! I love your sense of humor and I know what you mean about "Beth"! I have titled her my BFF (altho she is totally unaware!) So many things going on in my life right now and I needed a good laugh! Thanks for that!
Jan
Dear Angie, I check your blog everyday and look forward to hearing about you and your family. I purchased the children's bible you mentioned and my little Alex LOVES it, every night he can't wait to go read the next stories, we've had to negotiate how much we read each night! You are always in my thoughts and prayers these days and have brought me closer to the Lord! Emily, Sayre, PA
Beth Moore's Daniel series was great also. I heard Pricilla Shirer speak at a women's conference and she was absolutely wonderful.
A life-size cardboard cut-out. Ha ha...hysterical. I am so telling her. Once she hears--you are gonna have to "delurk" for sure. (Join the club, sister--we have jackets.)
I have known Beth for years now. She is one of the wisest, meekest, strong, sure, wonderful people I have ever known. She's funny too.............alright, alright, alright......you caught me. I don't know her personally either. It's my comment, so I figured I could say what I wanted. I do weigh 100 pounds though. And ate lunch with David Crowder's mother and granny last week. His mom was a total hoot and his granny even used profanity when her food came late and was cold.
Okay, those are all lies too. And I am 5'9, so if I really did weigh 100 pounds...my whole family would commit me (sorry Karen Carpenter--you were just too thin, honey.)
Let's see.....I am in the middle of a pre-med degree. That's the truth. And, on the side I am getting ready to enroll in one of Mosely's online real estate classes. We'll just see.
The nice thing about life is that ALL of us, with the Lord's help, can do whatever we feel like doing. Barring that it isn't either unethical or just plain disobedient. The Lord helps us do good things...you know what I am saying.
And, finally, love the Zephania scripture. My favorite book is Romans--GO PAUL!!!--and I love the book of John. I also have a new appreciation for the old testament. NIV is my fav too....and I just recently bought the Archaeological Bible--it is way too cool.
And now finally, my last comment.....Macs are better than PC's. Period.
Oh yeah and, 150,000? You should stick like David Hasselhauf (how do you spell that guys name?) or Steven Tyler or Wille Nelson as a link on your sight. You could probably bump up to at least 300,000 each day. Those guys are nuts--but people love them and they've been around, getting attention, forever!! Talk about drawing a crowd.
I love all of you. Hope that we all find our "God moment" in the day today. (Michal Ann--if you are reading this comment--forgive me for the snyde reference to David Hasselhauf.....just in case you are a fan of his) *wink wink*
All my heart,
Becky
That is my FAVORITE verse! I keep it on my desk as a reminder. I saw Todd Agnew in concert a year or so ago and he sang a song from his Better Questions CD- called Martyr's Song. He said he wrote this song as a reminder of Zephaniah 3:17.
Thanks for being so transparent and real. You are minintering to me more than you will ever know. THANK YOU for letting HIS love shine through you.
In HIM,
Amy J.
Please tell me you know Beth Moore has a blog?? www.livingproofministries.blogspot.com
So does her daughter, Amanda: www.babybangs.blogspot.com
You'll love them---if you don't already!
By the way...
I love Leeland. We are kind of a musical family-and my husband does such a good job playing his stuff. Besides, I feel a special kinship with him--with all his wacky red hair. Two of my girls have that same cool color. I love it!
Listen to "Carried to the table," or "Beautiful Lord." They are great!
Thanks for sharing your answers Angie!
Every time I read your blog I feel like I've known you for years and I'm just catching up so to speak.
You know that Beth Moore feeling? I'm pretty sure I'd get that if I ever attempted to meet you and thank you for all the things you do. Seriously. I'm pretty sure your chair would be close to Beth's!
Thank you so much for opening up your heart to us, once again...and the tidbits from your life. As if we are family...still kinda freaks me out that we (that would be the royal we, apparently) can become so close to our fellow bloggers.
Continuing to keep you in my prayers.
Susan

Oh...and one more thing...about the song. I was relentlessly bugging the band (by e-mail and threatening to phone) about the song. They told me to try ebay.
I so needed that verse today. Thanks Angie. You're amazing!
Thanks for sharing.
I love the David Crowder song and checked all his cds on Amazon. Now I know why I can't find it!
Thank you for sharing...only recently realized we are in the same town : )
I love that verse. A friend has it hanging over her daughter's crib~ I think it is perfect.
Oh, what a great post! I feel like I know you personally now. :)
Thank you for sharing.
Oh, and I love the puddle jumping pictures. I have my own girls on the top of my blog.
I am praying a little more for you today. God bless you bloggy friend. :)
Loved this post. I am doing Breaking Free right now for the second time. LOVE it. She certainly has a way with words. Have you done Believing God? It is probably my favorite.
I just love you! :0) The way you feel about David Crowder and Beth Moore...I feel that way about you.
Regarding the David Crowder All that I can say. It is on their first CD, titled, All that I can say. It was released independently, and isn't sold anymore. You can get one on Ebay sometimes, or Amazon, but it will cost you between $30-$60 from what I can see. I got mine for $30.
i enjoy reading your posts. you are a beautiful woman, inside and out. i think of and pray for you and your family often.
So good to hear from you. I love reading your "answers" to all of our questions!
Angie,
I've been reading for a long time, but have never commented. I, uh...well...you usually have so many comments that I'm pretty sure you wouldn't miss mine. :)
I just want you to know that I appreciate your blog so much. I appreciate your transparency, your willingness to share your life and your sweet babies. You've touched many lives and lived the Gospel before us. The Father has used you to deepen my faith through trials, and to give me a greater awareness of the Heaven that is to come. I also want to let you know how sorry I am that your little Audry has gone Home so soon - without a doubt you will hold and embrace and cherish her some day. (Have you read Randy Alcorn's Heaven?) She was (and is) beautiful.
You are an incredible writer, Angie. You are very funny...I think that I would like to be 100 lbs. on my blog, too.
Love, Holly
A mama of 8 children, who has been interrupted 46 times and has shared her breakfast with the two year old while typing this.
I love Beth Moore too, in the same near idol worship way that you do. : ) I'd pee too....it's okay.
Oh, and Priscilla too....muchly!
I am doing the study "A Woman's Heart" right now, which was Beth's first study, but she has redone and re-released it. Fantastic.
Thanks for the post.
Angie,
God bless you!! You are such a blessing to me. Thank you for introducing us to Crosswalk.com. I love it!! The daily devotionals have been perfect for me lately. Fear. Faith. The balancing act of my life these days. It was so good I even posted it to my blog today. It reminded me why we named our precious baby girl Faith. God uses you in the most amazing ways in my life! I'm so thankful.
Also, Beth Moore - I've never done one of her studies, but I'm going to. Thanks for sharing your favorites. God has certainly confirmed that I should jump into one of her studies.
Thank you for sharing your life and your journey with us. I love that the boots in the rain are your daughter's. It is such a great picture I thought it was a stock photo.
Have a blessed day. We love you!
Blessings,
Kirsten
Thank you for sharing your life with all of us. I have said it before and will say it again I am sure...You are such an inspiration.
I TOTALLY understand your story about the Dove Awards and David Crowder - I would have done the exact same thing!! I so love that song and find myself humming it all the time.
God Bless you and may you receive blessing beyond anything imagined...you deserve it!
hi, i was just stopping in to catch up o your sweet blog and thought i would mention that david crowder is a fellow blogger :) here is his site...

You are so funny! Well give me a call if you ever head down to Houston, Tx. I have not actually met her but do sit right next to her and Amanda + Curtis during service.
You are so encouraging and I truly enjoy reading your blog. Your kiddos are so precious! God Bless you!
Thank you for that verse you shared! I am getting ready for surgery to hopefully deal with our miscarriage and infertility. I'm not nervous about the surgery, but I am nervous that it won't work....that God will ask us to wait even longer. That verse means so much - to remember that He takes great delight in me (in me?!?) and that He will quiet me in His love. What a beautiful promise! Thank you!!
...and about 10 of those 150,000 hits every week is me checking over and over again to see it you've posted something new! :)
Thanks for sharing!!!!
Beth Moore is wonderful! I get to go to her convention in two weeks. I can't wait!
Angie- This post just about had me peeing in my pants laughing! :-) Thank you for sharing. I just wrote my last entry on David Crowder. Apparently he has sleepwalking issues. My ex husband and I met him a few times about 5-6 years ago.. he was the nicest, most easy going guy I've met. Hope you get to meet all of these people one day, without needing a diaper ;-) Happy Fourth!!!
Thanks for sharing, I feel like I'm beginning to know you more! :D
I look so forward to your blogs each week! You are awesome! Thank you so much for sharing!
Oooops and as far as I know I have that song.. I think I have the whole cd. I can send you a copy (as long as you don't plan to sell it for money) :) If you have a minute shoot me an email with an address that I can mail it to. :) amandajoy29@gmail.com
You crack me up--thanks for making me laugh on a day where my girls are terrorizing our home!
I LOVE this post Ang!! :) It's so neat to "get to know you" a little better.
We did a Bible Study of Patricia's recently called "He Speaks to Me." At the end she came to the church we attended the study at to meet with everyone. You're going to kill me for missing the opportunity, but I wasn't able to go. She's an amazing woman though!
I love Beth Moore too!! :)
I wonder if I could ask you to pray for me and my husband? We've been asked by a dear friend to be her son's godparents. He is 4 months old and in August she (the mother) will be going in for some very very serious surgery to remove a brain tumor. We've been asked to be his godparents so that in the event something happens to her, and the father is unable to care for him, we will raise him. We are seeking God's wisdom and guidance in this very big decision, as we don't have children together yet (my husband has two from a previous marriage, but they don't live with us) and were planning to start ttc within the next year. I am scared, and just ask that you please pray that God will guide us and help us to know the right decision. It's a big one and I want us to do this right.
Love to you,
Jenny B.
Arlington, TX
I just wanted to say that I loved this post... it made me laugh out loud and gave me goose bumps. God uses you daily... thanks. ;o)
Can't wait to meet you one day!
Hey Angie Thanks for sharing so much. I too LOVE me some Mrs. Moore! I have participated in/lead 8 of her studies and have always grown and been blessed through each one. I had to ask God to help me not idolize her though. I turned my admiration of her into praise to God for using her broken life and turning it into something so beautiful.
As far as you and Tod having more children - I will be praying that God will lead you and give you the direction you need to make such a big decision.
Thanks for the verse from Zepahaniah. I love that verse too. How amazing it is to think of God singing over us!
Have a blessed day!
You are way too funny Angie!! Thanks for sharing all your answers and letting your personality shine through. Your right, it's your blog, if you want to way 100 ibs. and be best friends with Beth and Priscilla then I say more power to ya! :)
Angie, what a precious heart for the Lord you have...a true yearning to be consumed in His word. I have a strong desire, but my yearning and dedication isn't always close behind when it comes to diving into the Word. I find it amazing that you are allowing God to speak volumes through your paragraphs and whisper to our souls through your tears. I read almost all of your posts. I am not sure why I chose today to be one of my comments, but I suppose I felt it past time to thank you...truly thank you for being a instrument that I am beautifully listening to God through.
Angie
You have to be one of the most amazing women I have ever encountered. You make me laugh, you make me search inside my heart, you make me desire a much deeper relationship with Jesus and I can't thank you enough for that. You are so incredibly gifted!
Since you love music, have you ever heard DeGarmo and Key play?? :)
Thanks for always sharing your heart with us. I loved reading every word of this post and it was fun to learn a bit more about you and your family. You are such an inspiration. Thank you for all the links and the wonderful verse at the end as well! :o)
Wow! So much information to know. I love it. It was as if you were answering each and every question I have had.
I have a testimony that would knock your socks off. I am the one who always include that in my post as to bate you in a phone call or email here in PA. I will email you my phone number- ya never know.
If any readers wish to email me I would love to share God's Story of Glory with you. It is amazing what he has done in my life. Amazing!!
I love Him so much.
I pray for you daily Angie and think of you too. :)
I pray comfort still and peace for you.
God Bless
Michele

What can I say I am a mother of 4.
Angie, I wholeheartedly admire your love of the Lord, but I feel as though I must say something about the "special chair next to Jesus."
I know as a relatively new Christian (two years), it can be intimidating to think that we have to do something as great as what Beth does to be in God's most perfect graces. But you and I know that's not true. God loves Beth just as much as he loves you, me and everyone else. There is a special chair for everyone in Heaven.
I know you probably didn't mean anything by this, but I just wanted to throw this thought out there. :) I hope you're not offended.
That's so cool that you mention Priscilla! I had never heard of her until last winter when I engaged in "Discerning the Voice of God." That verse from Zephaniah was actually the one that stood out the most to me throughout the series! I had almost forgotten about it...thanks for reminding me!
I enjoyed learning more about you! Thanks for all the answers!
This post made me laugh. I think if I could have the chance to talk to you I would feel like you having the chance to talk to David C. or Beth M. hee! I would sweat through my clothes. And I have a little feeing if Beth has a chair next to Jesus - you might be in the next chair over.
My husband found that David C. song for me somehow after a lot of searching so I could put it on my ipod. I have no idea how he found it but I would keep your blog open a few few months ago so I could listen to it over and over.
And I would give anything to attend a family gathering at the Evans' house and let them just preach and teach and sing until they were worn out. I love them. (I love beth too - but really - who DOESN'T???)
you crack me up! i laughed several times through that post (I don't know if I was supposed to, but I did). i get the real feeling that you authentically shine through in those posts!
I am also a lover of Beth Moore (that did not sound right). the first ever bible study I did of hers was "Jesus, The One and Only". It remains my favorite today.
Thanks for sharing about you! It was fun to read!
Thanks for sharing Angie! How funny that I emailed you about Priscilla Shirer before this post!
You are such an amazing woman! I totally admire your openness and the way you share with everyone. Sometimes I find that to be so challenging. You are touching so many lives! Thanks for being such a wonderful example to all of us!
Hi, Angie...
I feel like I am getting to know you better with each post I read. Your courage inspires me. ~Not the courage to pretend you are okay when you're not; but rather the courage to keep living, to keep believing, when you're NOT okay... and you can keep on only because you know the Lord. He is real to you, and He walks with you. And just that simply, your story becomes His story, a simple testimony of His faithfulness in the chaos of daily living ~and messy grieving.
And if the Lord carries you, He will carry me. That is your power of inspiration, glory to Him.
I've written you before, but I won't assume you've had time to read it, or remember me... I am 38, and I have 3 children. I lost my husband of 15 years to an unknown, wasting illness a bit over 2 years ago. He was 36 years old. Since then, the Lord has blessed me with another love, another husband; but still I struggle with grief over my loss, and even more over my children's pain. This far down the road of grief, some days are beautiful and wonderful, and some still filled with pain and the anger that I keep thinking I have conquered. My latest struggle has been just an awful dead feeling inside. I feel separated from the Lord. When I read the bible, I cannot seem to connect with the Lord, there; and so, often feel more discouraged after this effort than when I make none at all. I pray first, I ask the Lord to reveal Himself to me and to teach me, but what I feel most often is silence. How do you consistently reach the presence of God? How do you come away from your studies with so much growth? I want that, but I have no idea how to get there.
I am sorry for your losses, for Nicol's. I pray for you both and for both families.
The children and I had never before heard of Selah. (I know, we live in a cave. :o) Our favorite song has become Rescue Me, from the Timeless collection. We play the cd's so often that I need to get some different ones; my husband has heard them so much that he's tired of them. (How do you get tired of good music with a good message?) Knowing something about your lives makes each song's message so much more meaningful.
The Lord God touches many hearts through you. Thank you for sharing your journey.
with love and prayers,
Jennifer Perkins
I recently did a Priscilla Shirer study with our "alternate" MOPS week (MOPS one week, bible study the next - worked for us!). We did He Speaks To Me, and quite honestly, it was the first one (study) I have ever been so eager to do that I was several weeks ahead...and I actually FINISHED it. She is such a dynamic person.
Her brother and father came to speak in Kansas, and had I not had sick kids and a hubby on a business trip, I would have gone to see them.
Your blog is looking quite lovely, too...usually I read on RSS and rarely comment (guess I am "delurking", lol). Thanks for sharing all these great tidbits!
Amen. to Zeph 3:17.
I love Priscilla and "Your Name" and Beth, too. I also love muddy boot splashes and music.
Oh, and I weigh 100 pounds on my blog, too--hee hee. That comment cracked me up.
God Bless you today, sweet Angie!
Prayin' for you and Nicol's family daily.
Love,
holly
Thanks Angie! For all your words and your light wit. As a Mom I think you have to have humor. Life can be so challenging. I have gained so much strength and grown closer to God just from reading your posts. God is working miracles through you.
After our loss we thought maybe never would we feel that "happy" past we had before. Now 3 years later we have a new "happy" and a new miracle daughter Kendall.
I agree about Beth Moore!
Please keep posting, praying here for your family and the healing peace.
I have a David Crowder in...e-mail me the question.
Your story has so touched me in the last months. Please keep writing! :)
I think you are an amazing woman, thanks for sharing your life and inspiring so many people.
Amy
You are such a gift. A beautiful soul indeed and one who may be surprised to see her own special chair in Heaven. I enjoyed this post. It was nice to get to know you a little better.
Hey Angie. I'm a friend of Sara's and I met you at Elliot's memorial service. Anyways, when she comes up there this weekend you should ask her about her Beth Moore story (if she hasn't already told you). That is totally one more thing that y'all can add to your list of similarities...in love with Beth Moore!
Your words are an inspiration to me and many others. I loved seeing your beautiful smile at Bible Study!
That verse you chose is one my close friend clung to when her sweet daughter was still-born. I hadn't read that verse until then but it now has special meaning. Her and her husband are both gifted musically so it was neat to think about God singing to their sweet Kelsey. Thank you so much for your words.
Wow, I am always commenting up into the 100's and wonder if you get time to read all of these.
You are truly wonderful and inspiring. I love to read your words of encouragement and it makes me strive to be closer to Christ.
About the more kids, have you ever considered adoption? With James being your favorite chapter right now, you know how much the bibel tells us about caring for His orphans. You could help so many children and be such a positive influence in their lives. Imagine how many kids you could bring to Christ. Here is a video that I love, if you have time, please check it out.

We do foster care, and it is amazing.
What a great sense of humor you have been blessed with! Thank you for being such an open boook!
Angie I feel like a stalker of yours sometime..ha!!
I just purchased that Leeland cd. I love Tears of the Saints. Thanks for sharing more about who you really are with us.
Okay, seriously I love your humor! If I could bottle it up and keep it fresh, I would. Thanks for the 100 pounds worth of laughter. You are precious!
Angie you are such a treasure. I have been a lurker for several months now and wanted to let you know that I enjoy reading your blog so much. I agree with the others that you should definitely become a writer. Your words draw people into your life, just like we are there when it is taking place. Not many people can do that.
I also wanted to let you know that I have been praying for you and your family, as well as Nicol and her's. The strength you have is such a blessing and testimony to those of us reading your blog, and it has really touched my life.
One more tidbit of information before I go. My parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, July 5, and they too lost a child, their first child, when he was 2 months old. Your blog has helped me to understand what it must have been like for my parents to experience such a loss, but to also love each other enough, with the help of God, to make it through and continue to live a happy life.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Becky

Angie-
Actually, I think the song was written by Robbie Seay and may be available on cd. I'll have to check for you. He leads worship in Houston TX at Ecclesia and is connected with a lot of other worship leaders like Crowder. I have to dig it out, but I think I actually have this song on cd somewhere! They led worship in Houston at Metro Bible study like over 10 years ago, where my husband and I attended while still single! This song has meant MUCH to me personally, and I was SO excited when I heard it the first time I visited your blog...
and btw...Beth Moore really is just a PERSON...you should see her running around without her hair done or makeup on...and yes, she really does that, cause she's just like US. She'd probably really enjoy fellowshiping with YOU. :)
Dearest Angie and Todd,
I am truly amazed, and most of all humbled. Humbled by you, and your husband. You have inspired so many people (including me). And your story will no doubt continue to have lasting effects on so many people.
You have allowed God to use you in such a beautiful, beautiful way. Our society shuns suffering, and looks the other way upon death. It takes such courage to allow God's grace to work in our lives. You wanted to give Audrey life, and let her experience your love for her, even though it was for just a few hours. And you have embraced it, and you are holding onto that cross. Just keep holding on for dear life Angie.
I only know a fraction of what you are feeling. We have four precious children, and one in heaven. I miscarried at 6 weeks, and it took everything I had to just breathe. But I know God always has a purpose, and now I can relate to others who have lost a baby in a genuine way.
Your story reminded me of the words to a song-- the artist escapes me, but the words say everthing else I wish I could.
"Even though I'm walking though
the valley of the shadow,
I will hold tight to the hand of Him, whose love will comfort me.
And when all hope is gone, and I've been wounded in the battle.
He is all the strength that I will ever need.
He will carry me."
Love in Christ,
Kimberly
Thanks Angie! I love that verse in Zephaniah. We used that exact verse as our youngest daughters dedication verse in May.
:)
Makila
Your blog is an inspiration. Here is another one I came across today that I thought you could relate to.
http://fishsticksandfireflies.blogspot.com/
Though I don't always reply I love reading your blog. I do it regularly. And I loved getting to know you more in this one. We like a lot of the same things, that is neat.
Krista
tears of the saints is on projectplaylist for downloading & posting on a blog. go for it.
All I can say is Thank You. You are such an amazing woman and your words are so encouraging.
I am also a HUGE Beth Morre fan. I actually had to stop doing her studies for a short while because I felt like I was worshiping Beth instead of Jesus. I don't know how anyone could know that woman and not LOVE the Lord.
BTW When I am not doing my Beth Morre study it is your words that truly encourage me. I truly mean this. I have been having a difficult time and every time you post I just feel refreshed and have a greater desire to serve the Lord better.
PS My daughter Hannah Grace (3) always asks who is jumping in the puddles and I have always thought it was Kate. So now I will have to tell her Mommy was wrong.
Help me out...what does "delurking" mean?
Did it ever occur to you that some hold you in high esteem as you do Beth Moore? AND you are married to Todd Smith and sister-in-law to Nicol Sponberg. How awesome is that. I am just a wife, a mommy, a minister of music, a school teacher, but you have inspired me. I have posted one entry on my new blog! It is www.randabelle.blogspot.com
I am also wroking on my Master's, so I won't be able to post often, but I felt that I should share what the Lord stirs up in me.
Blessings!
Angie,
Ok you make me laugh :)
I have to tell you as I was praying for you that God is using you in such a BIG way (more than you even know right now)
I think He has even more planned for you as far as your writing and possible speaking ministry :)
You are a true treasure
God bless
Kim
That was such a funny post! Thanks for sharing! You helped make my day!
Thank you for sharing those tid bits so that we can get to know you better! I normally don't blog surf or take time to comment, pray, etc. much on the internet, but I was drawn to your story a few days before you delivered Audrey. I want you to know that you are continually in my prayers. I am so thankful that the Lord brought me to your blog that day. You inspire me to love the Lord deeper, to be a better friend, mom, and wife. You've truly blessed my life, thanks for sharing your heart.
Thank You for sharing. I am so excited that my sister in law is now hooked on your blog too. You really are spreading the word. I love how God works in all of us to reveal himself. I love that you are authentic about your faith. I love people who are real!!! I think you know what I mean, we all kind find humor in some of your answers, but they are realistic, and the true you. Thanks again for being you, a true disciple to all of us. I think many of us learn so much every time we read your post, I know I do.
Thanks again! Diana
Hi Angie
I love your blog! you make me laugh!
I am the author of THE JESUS STORYBOOK BIBLE and came across it via a google alert thing so I thought I'd stop by and say Hi and say how great it is to hear that you love the book.
It's God's Wonderful Story--and i'm so honored to have a part in retelling it for children.
Your testimony is very powerful and I'm humbled to read it. Thank you. (And I will check back at your blog--it's very cool!)
Sally
Thanks for answering the questions.
Wow! I have started my own little blog. You have inspirewd me. I may get a hit or two every week. I am just getting started. It is so cool that even your children realize they need to share the love of Jesus.
Two of my three( oldest 13 and youngest age 9) will be baptized next week july 13. We are excited.
Angie--loved this "answers" post!
Also--that is one of my favorite verses from Zephaniah--my best friend has this painted around the room of her two little girls...
so special!!

WOW what great info- funny thing I went to church in Waco (where David Crowder got his start and still plays), I loved him back then and did not realize the song you play was by him till recently- I LOVE that song. Another funny thing I was a camp counsoler in college with Anthony Evans, i have meet one of his sisters but did not realize her ministry- Small world. I am praying for you guys and love to read your blog- It makes me thing and realized how blessed I am.
Angie, you are so spittin' funny! Oh, if we all could be just 100lbs. I truly love what you have to say.
I just want to take the time to say that my family thinks that your husband has a crazy beautiful voice. We were dancing and singing along with Rescue Me and One Thing I Know the other night and we were so in love with him.
Keep on bloggin'
Darlee
The first time I heard Zeph 3:17 was at Soul Survivor {took place in Durban, South Africa} - Matt Redman's pastor, Mike Pilavachi, preached on it.
I love knowing that God dances over us with joy.
BTW ... you aren't the only one with load of bibles ...
I hope that you have a wonderful 4th of July weekend ...
think of us in the UK with "limited" sunshine/summer ...
God bless
God Bless you Angie - today you made me SMILE while reading your post. Thank you for sharing your faith so openly. You are reaching so many people with your honest openness.
That is a great verse! Can you just hear Him singing to us! How great is that! You are very funny. AND The chair close to Jesus thing? Well my grandma died and they brought her back and she told us all about her experance with Jesus while she was gone. He asked her if she was ready to be set free and she said don't rush me Jesus...lol (you had to know my grandma) anyway He told her she would have a "chair" waiting for her when she did come! COOl huh! "chair" is the word she used. You should have seen her eyes glisten talking about Jesus! Like a child in a candy store! Blessings ~ Misty
Angie,
I have spent some time reading your blog, and I can't tell you how much your posts have meant to me. I cried and cried over the loss of your precious little girl. I am at a point in my life where I feel like I'm in a desert, and yet even the tears don't seem to bring the relief that I need. You are such an encouragement, and I will definitely be back to read more and more.
God bless you,
Angie
I used that bible verse on the front of my wedding programs- and was convinced I was the only one who loved it. So glad to see I am not alone! Thanks for share your life and faith with us all!
P.S. Have you met Melanie aka Big Momma? She shares your love of Beth and Pricilla! lol
Fabulous post Angie!
I love lists like this...randomness...but yet all the 'little deatils' that help you to get to know someone! Love it! I espeically love about rolling down the window...your girls are adorable!
Love reading your posts, Angie. You are a very special lady for sure. I would love to have lunch with you and share our stories. Thinking of you and checking on you here.

Thank you for sharing your words today. I wish I knew how to "virtually link" :)
Angie, Thanks for acknowledginga all of the lurkers (myself included) and letting us learn a bit more about you, your family and your heart for the Lord! I have been super encouraged by your rad faith and your reliance on the Almighty God! I love how you always glorify God in your posts and encourage others to do so too! Have a great weekend and 4th of July.

Thanks for the info on the children's Bible. I am a children's minister and a new mommy so this is super helpful info. I can not wait to get one.
Also, thanks for the info about your church. I have a friend in Nashville who is going through a heartbreaking time and is, unfortunately, searching for a new church. She is not a church jumper and I would not advocate such but she needs a church family like your's in her time of need.
Zep. 3:17 is one of my favorite verses. To imagine God rejoicing and singing over me brings a childish smile to my face; My father loves me! What comfort!
I love your blog. I feel like I really know you and I'd love for you and the girls to come over and play. I've introduced you to my Mom and friends. They like and pray for you too!
You are too funny *grin* I sent an e-mail to the worship team with the song list for this month and there was a couple of Matt redman songs in it. I wrote in parenthesis "Have I told you I love Matt redman? Becasue I do. So much. But totally appropriately". *grin*
That bible verse is one of my all time favourites. I have a cool story about it, too. When my eldest son was about 5, he was getting really bad nightmares, with 'monsters' (Troy is very sensetive to the spiritual side of things) For many weeks, we prayed with him, and that helped. If we missed a night, they would be back! ANyway, one night, he had a bad dream, but didn't come into us. In the mornign, we asked him how he slept, and he said, "Ok. the monsters came. But I prayed and (*get this*) God came, HE SANG, and they went away."
WOW. We were totally floored. I love how the Lord reveals himself to children, and how they persieve him. There is no way Troy could have known about that verse. But the Lord is faitful to His word!
Have a lovely week, dearest of Angies.
This is my first time to comment but I want you to know that there are people in Lubbock, Texas praying for you and cheering you on! I have met David Crowder and he is awesome and funny. Have you read his book "Praise Habit"? You would love it. He talks about being star struck also and it is hilarious! Have a blessed day!
LOL! I love your update...now that you know me (because I can't post annonymously), does that mean I have to stop stalking you too?
Your life is one big smile Angie...even through the tears. Thank you for allowing God to work through you.
Hugs,
Sarah
Thanks for sharing your heart with us Angie - and for your sweet sense of humor. It is always a blessing to read your posts.
P.S. I have a Beth Moore corner too.
I'm right there with you about Beth...I've done them all except her most recent, some of them more than once and I also read her blog.. She has the special seat I'm sure.
I bought the Jesus Story Book Bible for my nephew...it was second had before he got it...I read it first!
Thank you for that recommendation! Thank you for sharing your walk with Christ!
I hang on that verse lots..I love that he delights in me and rejoices over me with singing....me...and he even knows all about me...and still he sings. wow!
Blessings to you and yours!
That is CRAZY that you posted Zephaniah 3:17!
I have been trying to find ways to get the spiritual disciplines into my every day. Easier said than done. So – I decided rather than to beat myself up for not being able to meditate and pray in silence, I would pray over whatever song is in my head. There is always a song in my head.
Today, the song in my head was by Hillsong “Mighty to Save”…then I read your blog.
I think I am on to something here with my prayer life – thanks for being an inspiration!

You would be so jealous...I got to see Beth Moore AND Priscilla Shirer this last weekend at their Deeper Still Conference. It was amazing... =)
Beth Moore and Pricilla Shirer are my absolute favorites too. I just returned from the Deeper Still in Atlanta. There was a group of women who met there. They had all lost babies recently and all wore special T-shirts with the names. I though of you. I also just started "Breaking Free". You have a gift with words. I could so see you as a Beth Moore one day.....
Delurking after months of reading *blush*...better late than never, right? I had a rare moment of quiet first thing this morning and while reading my bible I thought of your post awhile back about how much you love The Jesus Storybook Bible. I couldn't remember the name of it off the top of my head, so I came to your blog to go back to find it and lo and behold, you beat me to it! So thanks, you saved me some time...I found what I was looking for and even had some time left over to eat breakfast in peace;)
And I will be the umpteenth person to say, "YOU are MY Beth Moore!" There aren't even words to describe how thankful I am to have come across your blog (I KNEW there was a reason I read Celebrity Baby Blog!!!). You are a blessing to me Angie, and I will continue to pray for you and your family.
Thanks for sharing...I think that we are sisters by default!! or something. I mean I am related to Elvis Presley by way of 5th generation....so it's possible!
When we lived in the Nashville area and I worked at LifeWay Corporate, the department I worked in was Publishing Services/Multimedia area or PSM or PMS if you answer the phone to fast!!! HAHAHA! We worked on the Psalms of the Ascent Beth Moore study.. If you do the study, I think in Study #3 or 4 you will see this redhead (Ok, it's possible that you could have a redheaded sister!)
praising God while sitting just to the right of Travis Cotrell! That's me....by Travis!!!! WOW! We lived in Spring Hill (same town as Travis) and most trips to Publix grocery would find me bumping into Travis...oh he knows me~not, but I say hi anyway!
I so got excited to meet Beth Moore then found myself shying away...and I am not a shy child of God!
But I have talked to Mr Watson of the golf world and my all time favorite golfer-Freddie Couples...and I talked to Ben Krenshaw from the golf world.. but Beth-OMgoodness! I agree , she is up there close to God...but honestly ladies, she told us that she does not want to be recognized like that...she is so down to earth and normal!!!
I feel like I know you better Angie...and I don't forget to pray for you and your family.
Joy, John 15:11
That's my favorite Bible passage and I actually had it printed on my son's birth announcement. I didn't think anyone else even knew that good ole' Zepaniah had something that awesome to say!
BTW - you often post a verse that speaks to me in exactly the way I need. Thanks for doing it again today!
I feel like I have so much in common with the rest of my fellow Bring the Rain blog readers! I too have been a faithful reader of your blog but feel like I'm too inexperienced to have anything profound to say to you (I'm only 20) and I'm also a bit nervous since I have come to look up to and admire you. But then I realised that maybe I don't need to say anything profound, but just pray for you and write to you like I would talk to you (except I'd probably pee myself if I ever met you!!).
I also regularly visit this site just to listen to the music. In fact after hearing MercyMe's song Bring the Rain, I promptly went out and bought the album which featured that song and I LOVE it!
I want you to know that you are such a blessing to Christian women Angie, and for me especially, you represent the kind of Christian wife, mother and overall women that I hope to become. Thankyou for sharing your thoughts, experiences and wisdom.
Much love, Alicia (all the way from Sydney, Australia!)
Okay here is my question for you....in a previous post you mentioned the deal you made with God and that you would learn more about Him if He healed your dad. You checked out the local Catholic church. I was wondering what made you decide not to stick with the Catholic religion? The only reason I ask is because I was raised Catholic but when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 3 years ago, I came to realize that my "religion" wasn't cutting it for me anymore and I felt empy inside and I knew that Catholisicm (sp?) was not helping me in my quest for answers, so I left and sought out a new "religion" or to put it a better way a new church and am so glad that I did because that is how I came to accept Christ as my Lord and Savior. How did it work for you since obviously you are not Catholic. I hate the word religion because in all honesty, it isn't about religion but instead it is about the relationship with Christ that we are all to be seeking. One more thing are others in your family believers? Thank you for sharing your heart and life with all of us, I am ALWAYS checking your blog (sometimes 4 times a day or more) now who is the STALKER???? Thanks for your honesty and for your heart! You are truly a gift to all of us!
Cathi
I want to hear the rest of the story you alluded to in the post about your twins' birth. I've been looking for it ever since you mentioned it!
Thanks for sharing so much. I love to read your blog.
I guess I am "delurking" today! LOL!
I think you are lovely. You are such an inspiration to me and you remind me so much of my late baby sister, Joanne. She was killed instantly in a snowmobile accident in January, 2006. She was 34 and left behind a loving husband and three faithful, perfect girls. She was born again and she SO worshipped Jesus. Your writing is like reading her thoughts.
Thank you for being so candid and open.
Angie- thank you for sharing so much of yourself. Thank you again for listening to the promptings of the Lord and ministering to me via email the other night. I so needed a friend and am grateful you were there for me. I survived my due date and in fact felt much peace that day in Orlando with my hubby.
You have helped me tremendously on my journey to reconnect and trust God again. I now know without a doubt that He loves me. I would not write the story the way mine has been written, but I am not the author and I trust the One who is. I know there's a bigger plan and I am willing to play whatever part in it that He sees fit.
You feel like a sister to me and I love that. When I got your email the other night, I felt as you did receiving Sally's email. Thank you for letting me feel that and for taking the time to let me know that I matter.
Hugs,
Stacy
Oh Dear Angie,
You are SO funny- what a blessing to get to share in your life by reading your words. I think I sat with a goofy grin on my face the entire time I was reading your latest. It was so refreshing to hear that I am not the only dufus out there! :)
Thank you!!
Angie,
I have been reading your blog for a couple of months now. I love your heart. I wish that we lived near each other..we would definitely be good friends. Thanks for being honest and open. You are building your treasures in heaven. God bless!
Thank you for once again sharing your life with us. You're so funny!
I just want you to know that I find so much encouragement in your blogs. I lost my baby girl, Mia, 6weeks ago, and you have helped me in a time that I feel like I'm all alone. Knowing that you are holding on to Jesus so tight right now makes me want to hold on to him even more than I am already.
You have a ministry my friend. All because of a sweet little Angel named Audrey. I hope our children know each other in heaven, what an awesome thought! I can't wait to meet you there one day!
Your family is still in my prayers.
Marsha from KC
Yea!!! I didn't know what to give my good friend for a wedding gift...she's 45 and owns everything....everything except a custom engraved tile! Thank you for the link angie, you saved me from buying her another coffee pot that she wouldn't use!
You are awesome! We are praying for your family.
if His singing comes in the form of sweet laughter from my baby, then yes, yes He did bless our house with His singing.
I love your blog. It makes me think, it makes me cry, it makes me love being a child of the Lord.
Thank you for sharing.
You really need to "book your blog" as you could publish this. You are a AMAZING women and I wish I had 1/2 your faith.
Okay, so I know you get like a hundred million comments in a week, and there's no way you have time to reply to emails and comments, I know you have a life.
But I want you to know that I just loved this one and laughed tonight as I read your entry for yesterday/today. :)
And that part of the verse you put on there- "He will take great delight in you"- well, Angie, God took great delight in your blog entry, I'm sure! You were so funny and just happy and I know that had to make Him happy.
And you know what else? I have been feeling really LOUSY & am having health isssues, and you made me smile. Thanks for that!
With His love,
Rebekah :)
P.S. A teacher at the school where I'm doing summer school was talking about her Coach purse today and how much she loves it and all that.... and I thought of you. :)
glad to hear you like that kids' bible because i just ordered it the other day!!! thanks for the book recommendations.
Angie

Angie--
so sorry about my typos! Ha! I have no idea what I was trying to say at the bottom!
but I do love the way that you write!
Thank you for the verse. It was a Word from God straight to my struggling heart today. I read this blog so I can bless your family by lifting you in prayer...and I always walk away feeling blessed myself!
That is so awesome that she (Sally) commented on your blog! I too love that book and have read it to both of my children. I think its great for adults too!
Thank you for continuing to share your heart.
You are too funny!!
Thanks for your info today, I feel like we get to know you a little bit more. The pictures are very cute, especially of your dog! We have 2 goldens of our own and I can't imagine life without them. Okay, maybe at times I can- no hair, no holes in yard, no drooling... okay, maybe not, we love them. Thanks for sharing and may the Lord continue to bless you and your family.
Angie, I am a worship leader in a small church in central Texas. I love to sing praises to my Lord! I absolutley cannot wait until July 21-24 when I can go and refresh at the National Worship Leader Conference in Austin. Sometimes I find it hard to be in the right frame of mind when it comes to worshiping. Our congregation has absolutely no clue what it means to be in the presence. They just sit in the audience with there arms crossed. Sometimes I think they just come to be entertained. I am a believer in Christ but I just haven't quite figured out how to just completely let go of myself and turn it over to God. I ride the fence alot. Reading your blogs are such an inspiration. There have been many nights I have sat at my computer and cried right along with you. Your faith is amazing! You are a blessing to me! Thanks for being my example. Love ya & God Bless! Have a great 4th of July celebration.
Hi Angie,
I just love your heart!! And I love that you share it with all of us.
I know that you still have grieving ahead of you, but I -as your sister in Jesus who has been praying for you- am so pleased to see joy, humor, and "spunk" in your words. Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow!!
Thanks for taking the time to post and answer so many of our questions.
100,000-150,000 hits a week!?! My...the grass certainly is green, isn't it?
=-) Blessings,
Kendra (Portland Or)
P.S. If I met Beth Moore, I would probably pee on myself too.
Angie, I love your blog. I check it every night before I head to bed and say my prayers. I wish my faith was a strong footed as yours. We've struggled with infertility and miscarriage for so long and now are trying to feel our way through the adoption world. We pray for your family regularly. And I love your verse! We cling to Jeremiah 29:11. And we are just waiting for our plans to be revealed.
You're so funny...now I'm wondering what that Google alert thingie is...
Call upon the Lord in every trouble! Know that I'm praying!
Psalms 9:9-10 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
This was a great post!
I have done the Beth Moore Breaking Free study and LOVED it! Attended one of her conferences as well... she's a hoot!
I loved this peek into your life :)
A question... what was the name of the book on grief that you read that had you shatter the pottery and glue it back together?
*I weigh 100 pounds. OK, nobody asked that and it isn’t even true, but it’s my blog and I’m really skinny on it.*
This complete post put a big smile on my face, txs for sharing Angie :D
Hi! I am Kaye's (the tile lady's)step-daughter. I am a faithful reader and although I have no commented before I feel like I know you personally as I have cried with you and laughed with you along your journey. You are such a strong and beautiful woman and an inspiration to me and everyone. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for letting us into your life and in doing that changing so many lives along the way. Your family is a blessing!
~Christy Hart
Angie some days I cry with you, some days I smile and on days like today, it is so wonderful to laugh with you as I read your post. You inspire me.
